Features may include:
Engine & ElectronicsThe CRF450RL uses the CRF450R motocrosser as a starting point, then adds everything required to make it fully road-worthy. From the CRF450R base, the frame was made slightly wider to allow for the 6-speed transmission, the engine was tuned for smoother power delivery, and the suspension and brakes were modified to make the bike more user friendly on tight trails and on the road.
With a heavier crankshaft than used in the full-race CRF450R, you'll enjoy 13% more inertia from the Unicam engine, which means an even stronger feeling of torque when you twist the throttle.
The CRF450RLs Unicam engine shares the same bore and stroke as the CRF450R, but durable thanks to the piston using three rings instead of one.
Chassis & SuspensionThe twin-spar aluminum frame is both light and stiff, and provides the basis for the CRF450RLs excellent handling, making it a true off-road bike. Chassis geometry is specially engineered for responsiveness on even tight trails.
The 49 mm Showa fork features a conventional spring design that helps increase the CRF450RLs front-suspension precision, handling and feel. The spring rate provides better bottoming resistance and improved handling.
AdditionalAn important feature for planning gas stops and calculating your bikes range under varying conditions, the CRF450RLs fuel mileage meter shows current fuel mileage and average mileage as well as consumption. Displays in either kilometres or miles, and applies to both the A and B tripmeters. The meter is in the same digital instrument display as the speedometer, odometer, tripmeters and digital clock.
The CRF450RL features an all-LED lighting package including the headlight to help keep weight as low as possible. The lighting pattern is specially designed for both on and off-road situations.
A sidestand may seem like no big thing, but take a look at the one on the CRF450RL. Tucked up high and out of the way, this forged alloy piece is just another example of how the CRF450RL gets it right.
When the going gets extra tough, youll appreciate the hand guards on the CRF450RL.
The CRF450RL is a ride anywhere type of bike, and because conditions vary so widely, weve equipped it with a light electric fan for the radiator. It helps keep your engine running cool even in the tightest single track on the hottest days.
The CRF450RLs dual radiators feature a refined core area for superior heat dissipation compared with conventional dual-radiator designs.
